Specialty Areas: Facilitating Professional Learning and Implementation of School Relational Regulation Spaces
My Story
Meagan is an educator with 26 years in public education. She learned with upper elementary and special education students during her journey. She has applied her knowledge of instructional design, trauma-informed practices, special education, and restorative practices to design and implement a brain science, co-regulation, and relationship-based space for students and staff to regulate their nervous systems, strengthen relationships and solve problems. During her time in public education, Meagan has developed teacher learning in regulation, building relationships, executive function, and SEL core competencies. Over the last 15 years of her career in education, Meagan has developed a special interest in how movement affects learning and nervous system regulation. This interest led her to study Balance Auditory Vision Exercises, which she now teaches to individual clients in her private studio and provides professional learning to educators. Meagan graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University, an MS in Instructional Design from Emporia State University, and an MS in Special Education from Southwestern College.
