Well, the final TIE Network event of 2008 has wrapped up and is "in the bag." We had a fantastic time "sharing the gift of technology" at the VSU ETC on Tuesday, December 9th. Becky Crosby started us off with a tour of the Thinkfinity site which is FREE to all parents, teachers and students. Then I showed the ins and outs of the TIE Network website, and we had two GPB apprentices filming the session for future viewing on the web. The biggest hit of the evening was Ray Yody's session on wiki building. By the end of the night each person had created a wiki to use in the classroom! As a final wrap-up session, we discueed some advanced blogging techniques, and we practiced blogging in the TIE Community Blog section of the site.To view more photos from our event, visit our Google Web Album by clicking here. I want to thank Becky Crosby for helping me to coordinate this event in Valdosta and for recruiting TIE members in the region to attend. The following TIE Network members shared in the fun last week: Lynne Cater - Valdosta State University ETC Becky Crosby - Valdosta State University ETC Dianne Dees - Valdosta State University Laura Frizzell - Coastal Plains RESA Mimi McGahee - Valdosta State University ETC Shirley Sainz - Valdosta State University ETC Melanie Turner - Colquitt County Schools Elaine Willis - Irwin County Schools Ray Yody - Cook County Schools
