International Student Media Festival Announces Special New Awards PDF Print E-mail

Cool AECT and ISMF are pleased to sponsor a new award for projects that document learning within a school setting.  Inside Our Schools Award will recognize outstanding media featuring students and teachers engaged in exciting educational initiatives.
Judges will be looking for the following elements in the projects submitted for this award:

ØIntroduction to the instructional unit and the approach that will be explored in the video.

Ø

 Explanation of the instructional objectives for the learning unit.

Ø

 Demonstration of the implementation of the educational unit in the classroom.

Ø

 Interviews with the participants of the activity.

Ø

 Reflections by the teachers and students involved in the activity.
In addition to the ISMF trophy, winning schools will receive:

Ø$300 – 1st place 

$200 – 2nd place 

$100 – 3rd place


 
The International Student Media Festival (ISMF) is happy to welcome their newest, sponsor, Promethean.  A global leader and innovator in interactive learning, Promethean transforms traditional classrooms into innovative, engaging environments.
 
We are celebrating their participation in ISMF with an expanded media category. Promethean will offer special recognition and prizes for the best student-produced interactive stills created with Activstudio software. Schools with Promethean interactive whiteboards have unlimited installation rights for Activstudio software, so students attending these schools will have access to these exciting production tools.
