Imagine being able to make any white board interactive. That is, any teacher or a student could write on the white board and manipulate items that are also on a computer screen. How does it work? The Mimio technology works via a travel (jump) drive connected to a computer, Mimio software, a portable Mimio interactive device, a special pen, and a projector.

The heart of the Mimio board includes the use of the special Mimio pen. Unlike the pens of its competitor interactive white board companies, the Mimio has a bigger pen with a tough exterior. It is very sturdy even if it is dropped several times. In addition, the cost of the Mimio is about half of its competitors. Most of all, the Mimio allows the teacher to record a lesson and play it later for students. It offers an excellent buy to get into the interactive white board community.
